Are you an experienced chef who enjoys coaching others and keeping standards high? The Amstel Hotel is introducing a new and important role in our kitchen team: Chef Formation & Contrôle.

Responsibilities

• Coaching chefs on the floor every day and help them grow in skill and confidence.

  
  

• Guard quality and style by ensuring recipes, techniques, and presentation are followed consistently.

  
  

• You bring structure to the kitchen by improving workflow, mise en place, and daily efficiency.

  
  

• Hold bi-weekly evaluation and progress meetings with individual chefs and support their development.

  
  

• Oversee hygiene, food safety, and HACCP compliance and make sure agreed standards are respected.

  
  

Requirements

• Fully qualified and experienced chef with strong technical knowledge.

  
  

• A natural mentor with clear communication skills.

  
  

• You respect existing recipes, agreements, and the culinary identity of the kitchen.

  
  

• You enjoy developing people and building a strong, stable team.
